Sean Biggerstaff

Sean Biggerstaff (born March 15, 1983 in Glasgow , Scotland ) is a Scottish actor.

Life

Biggerstaff was discovered as an amateur theater actor by Alan Rickman and received his first film role in The Winter Guest starring Emma Thompson and Phyllida Law , which Rickman directed. Rickman advised him to get an agent and the first role this got him was that of Oliver Wood in the Harry Potter films (2001, 2002, 2011). Biggerstaff was originally scheduled to play Percy Weasley , but after Chris Rankin auditioned, he got the role. Biggerstaff was appointed captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team , Oliver Wood . Before that he was also the guitarist of the band Crambo .

In 2005 he played in the world premiere of the theater production "Girl with Red Hair" the role of Matt in Edinburgh and London , a play by Sharman Macdonald , which had also written The Winter Guest . From 2010 to 2012 he was guitarist in the band Wrongnote .

Biggerstaff's father is a firefighter and his mother works in the ward. Biggerstaff has been dating the French actress and model Gaia Weiss since 2013.
