Sebastian Altekamp

Sebastian "Bosse" Altekamp (born January 22, 1963 in Münster ) is a German jazz musician ( piano , composition ).

Live and act

Altekamp played in the Münster jazz scene in the 1980s with Cartoon Pro Ton , Vaya and in 1986 also in the hit combo Ein loyal man. Between 1987 and 1992 he studied at the Hilversum Conservatory with Henk Elkerbout and Rob Madna .

He then worked as a jazz musician in the Netherlands before coming back to Münster in 1996. With the saxophonist Wolfgang Bleibel he formed the chamber music jazz duo Songlines , which released several albums and was awarded the Westphalia Jazz Prize in 1999. He also accompanied Maria de Fatima , Deborah Brown , Adrienne West, Lis Harting, Silvia Droste and Romy Camerun . He can also be heard on albums by Carolyn Breuer / Fee Claassen , Martin Classen and Lydia van Dam .

Furthermore, Altekamp works as a lecturer for jazz piano at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Enschede and at the Detmold University of Music .
