Sebastian Auer

Sebastian Auer (* 22. October 1922 in Karavukov in Backa ) is from Serbia originating Austrian engineer and inventor .

Live and act

After serving in the war in 1941 and being captured by British and French war prisoners , he came to Linz in October 1945 and worked as a technician . In 1973 he received the right to use the status of engineer . Patents submitted by him :

  • Procedure of the cellar-welded oil storage tank (1965)
  • Device for adjusting the driving lever in vehicles (1973)
  • Cruise control (1974)

Awards

Technology collection

Over the years, Auer collected old radios , record players , TV and tape recorders , phono furniture and other technical devices. In 2002 the Upper Austrian Provincial Museum, with the support of the Institute for Cultural Research of the Provincial Directorate, acquired the Fono collection, which consists of more than 800 individual items, under the aspect of technology history is always cultural history, and set up a radio museum in Linz Castle .
