Sebastian Kubis

Sebastian Kubis (born January 11, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German law scholar and university professor .

Life

Sebastian Kubis studied law and philosophy at Bielefeld University and passed his legal traineeship exam in 1992. He then studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign , which he completed in 1993 with a Master of Laws . From 1989 to 1993 he was a fellow of the Cusanuswerk . Kubis received his doctorate in 1998 on "International jurisdiction in the violation of personality and intellectual property rights", completed his legal clerkship at the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court in Schleswig and passed his assessor examination in 1998. He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for European and International Private and Procedural Law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . Kubis is a student of Haimo Schack .

Since his habilitation in the winter semester 2005/06 with a thesis on "Protection of the debtor in the event of the assignment of claims and collection authorization", Kubis was a private lecturer at the Christian Albrechts University with the license to teach " Civil law , civil procedural law , international private and civil procedural law , comparative law , Copyright ". In the 2006 summer semester he was a professor for civil law at the University of Kiel and in December 2006 he was appointed to the Wilhelm Peter Radt endowed chair for civil law and intellectual property law at the FernUniversität in Hagen .
