Sebastian Nordmann

Sebastian Nordmann (born May 10, 1971 in Kiel ) is a German director and university professor .

Life

Nordmann studied musicology and modern history in Heidelberg , Edinburgh and Berlin . With a thesis on the influence of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival on the musical landscape in Schleswig-Holstein , he was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD .

Nordmann worked as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group and a CD label .

He gained practical experience in the field of culture at the Edinburgh Festival , in the culture department of Bayer AG , as managing director of the Schleswig-Holstein State Youth Orchestra and as assistant artistic director at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival , which he headed as artistic director and managing director from 2002 to 2008 and became one of the largest Made music festivals in Germany. In July 2008 Sebastian Nordmann was appointed professor for music management at the Rostock University of Music and Theater . Nordmann has been the artistic director of the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin since September 2009 .
