Secret Sphere is an Italian power metal band from Alessandria that was formed in 1997.
history
The band was founded in the summer of 1997 by guitarist Aldo Lonobile. After a few changes in line-up, the band recorded their debut album and released it in 1999 under the name Mistress of the Shadowlight via Elevate Records . In 2000 the band was featured on the Helloween tribute compilation Keepers of Jericho . After the second album called A Time Nevercome was released in 2001, followed a tour through Europe and reached a contract with Nuclear Blast . With this label they released the album Scent of Human Desire in 2003 . The album was produced by Achim Köhler ( Sinner , Primal Fear ). In the same year she played various appearances such as on the Metal Dayz in Switzerland . In 2004 the band played on ProgPower USA .
The album Heart & Anger was released in 2005 through Nuclear Blast. It was produced again by Achim Köhler. In the same year the band also reached a management contract with Intromental Management . In April 2006 the band played with King Diamond on their tour through Scandinavia . After that, work began on a new album, as well as appearances at ProgPower UK and Evolution Fest in Italy. In 2007 they continued to work on new material. They also played with Astral Doors on their European tour.
The album Sweet Blood Theory was released in 2008 via Dockyard 1 , followed by Archetype in 2010 via Scarlet Records .
style
The band plays progressive power metal, which can be described as a mixture of the works of bands like Helloween, Queensrÿche , and Morgana Lefay . Symphonic borrowings are also characteristic .
