Architecture and history
Both the names Sedelhof and Sattelhof indicate the former importance of the complex. The first mention of the farm, which was operated as a manor for a long time , dates back to 1311. As far as the existing building fabric is concerned, an elongated two-storey building made of rubble stones is worth mentioning, which in part still contains medieval building fabric. The former sheep farm at Bösenburger Strasse 2 also belongs to the Sedelhof . It is designed as a three-sided courtyard and dates from around 1800.
In the eighteenth century it belonged to Peter Ernst von Pennavaire (1680–1759). He was a Prussian lieutenant general of the cavalry, commander of the body carbine regiment and heir to Heiligenthal.
Today the farm is run as a riding stables .
The manor is listed in the local monument register under registration number 094 65856 as a monument .
