action

The film begins with a biblical quote from ( Mt 7.18  EU ): “A good tree bears no bad fruit and a bad tree bears no good.” Then crippled, abused and neglected children are shown, children who live in poverty or beg. The spokesman explains that the same children could become little Einsteins or Marie Curies , but also little Hitler , Mussolini or Tōjō .

The film then goes into the crimes of the Third Reich . Is shown Lidice , or what was left of it. There are reports of massacres and how the residents were sent to concentration camps and their children were sold to German families for 50 Reichsmarks . Then SS men and the executives of the Third Reich who were accused are shown. The following is an excerpt from a speech attributed to Hitler, which contains the Nero order : “We shall leave an inheritance of ruins, stoneheaps, rats, epidemics, hunger and death and thereby Western civilization shall decline” (German: “We must ruin them as heirs Left behind, piles of stones, rats, epidemics, hunger and death, that is how Western civilization will perish ”). The speaker imitates Hitler's style of speech. Then images of the nouns in the sentence are faded in, including mountains of corpses and the ruins of cities. This is followed by a quote from Gerd von Rundstedt : “We Germans must number twice the population of our neighbors. Therefore we shall be compelled to destroy one third of the population of all adjacent territories. We can best achieve this through systematic malnutrition - in the end far superior to machine guns ... Starvation works more effectively especially among the young ... "(Eng." We Germans have to have a population twice as high as our neighbors. Consequently, we have to have a third The best way to do this is through systematic malnutrition - much better than machine guns. Starvation is more effective, especially among young people. ") Video recordings of malnourished infants are shown.

To prevent this and a third world war, the Americans should start with themselves. Pictures from the United States are shown, shops in abundance, a rich, abundant land; but it is also pointed out that not everyone is well, but that such an atmosphere would prevent another war. Then the role of the United Nations and its United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration is described. Aid deliveries are shown and described how the reconstruction of different nations is being done. It is a long and arduous journey, but the Unrra can, by helping to rebuild, secure the peace that the world needs after two world wars.
