Ludwig Seeger (physician)
Gabriel Ludwig Seeger , called Seeger an der Lutz (born January 30, 1831 in Thuringia , Vorarlberg , † January 8, 1893 in Vienna ) was an Austrian doctor and dialect poet .
Life
Ludwig Seeger was a writer and a life reformer of Austria. In the sense of health prophylaxis he developed a fitness and nutrition system from the 1850s . So counted Empress Elisabeth , known as Sisi , in addition to some other progressive ladies of Viennese aristocracy to his students. As a life reformer, Seeger also counted the then still young electromedicine among his research areas.
In the 1860s he built up a department in the Vienna hospital on the Wieden , which was later taken over by his son.
Ludwig Seeger spent the summer in his house in Ludesch for many decades . He joined the so-called Walgauische Weimar, a kind of free summer academy of artists, scholars and life reformers.
