The water-lily-like (Nymphaeales) represent one of the basal orders of the Bedecktsamer . They contain three families.

description

They are herbaceous swamp and aquatic plants anchored at the bottom of bodies of water. Depending on the species, they have underwater and / or swimming leaves. They almost always have no trachea . The sieve tube plastids are of the S type. The flowers are hermaphroditic. All flower organs are arranged in a spiral and are usually numerous.
