The building at Seestraße 18 in Unterschondorf , a district of the municipality of Schondorf am Ammersee in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech , was built around 1900. The house is a protected monument .

The house was bought in 1911 by the Munich painter and art collector Sigmund Röhrer, who also owned several houses in the neighborhood. The villa was mainly used as a guest house. The Villa Holzer directly on the lake, which was demolished in 1956, was used to store the extensive art collection with a focus on German art of the 18th century.
