The Blue Dragon or ( Chinese 青龍 / 青龙 , Pinyin Qīng Lóng ) is one of the four symbols of the Chinese star constellations , which are also known as "miracle animals". It is also called the "Blue Dragon of the East" ( 東方 青龍 / 东方 青龙 , Dōngfāng Qīng Lóng ) and represents spring and the east. It should not be confused with the yellow dragon ( 黃龍 / 黄龙 , Huáng Lóng ), which symbolizes the Chinese emperor.
