The Breslau section of the German Alpine Club (DAV) e. V. (short DAV Breslau ) is a section of the German Alpine Club formerly in Breslau (in today's Poland ), later in Ludwigsburg and today in Stuttgart . The DAV Breslau is one of the older and with over 720 members (as of December 31, 2018) one of the smaller sections of the German Alpine Club .
founding
On November 13, 1877, the Breslau section of the DOeAV was founded. The constituent meeting took place on November 30, 1877. On January 29, 1882, it was decided to build a refuge at the foot of the Wildspitze in the Ötztal Alps ; the opening took place on August 20, 1882. On April 18, 1944, the last general assembly took place at the University of Breslau . After the Second World War , an application was made to the Ludwigsburg Regional Court on November 13, 1950 to appoint an emergency board. A week later, Willi Girke was appointed to this position. On August 23, 1955, the first general meeting after the Second World War took place at the Breslauer Hütte. In 1990 the company moved to Stuttgart.

The section is involved in the Cannstatter Pfeiler climbing gardens, Café Kraft Stuttgart, Cityrock, Climbmax Kletterwelt, Kletterzentrum Stuttgart, DAV climbing and bouldering center Stuttgart of the " Stuttgart and Swabia Section ".
