The Bingen transmitter is a radio broadcasting system ( transmitter for short ) that is located on the 242 meter high Rochusberg , the highest point in the city of Bingen on the Rhine . The transmitter is located in Rhineland-Palatinate, but primarily supplies the Hessian Rheingau between Bingen and Wiesbaden with radio programs.

Note on the Deutschlandfunk (DLF) program: On January 19, 2017, a program exchange took place between the DLF and the AFN Wiesbaden . Since then, AFNEAGLE has been broadcast by Mainz-Kastel . For this, the DLF was assigned the powerful 98.7 MHz frequency on the hr tubular mast on the Hessian Großer Feldberg . The DLF then switched off the filling stations that supplied some cities in the Rhine-Main area .
