Senta Seip

Senta Seip (born November 9, 1934 in Limburg an der Lahn ) is a German politician ( Die Grünen ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

Senta Seip completed the attendance of a grammar school , which began in 1946, with the secondary school leaving certificate and then graduated from the commercial college . She then worked in various law firms in Limburg and Wiesbaden until 1955. She then worked as an editorial secretary for the Nassauische Landeszeitung in Limburg until 1959 and then as a freelancer for the same local paper until 1962. After the birth of the second of 3 children in 1962, she took a family break.

Since 1980 she has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die GRÜNEN party. From 1981 to 1985 she was a city councilor and then until 1988 a member of the municipal authorities in Limburg. Until 1981 she was in the State Main Committee of Hesse and press spokeswoman for the Limburg-Weilburg district association. In the state elections in 1991 Senta Seip was elected to the 13th electoral term of the Hessian state parliament, to which she belonged from April 5, 1991 until the end of the 14th electoral term on April 4, 1999. From 1991 to 1995 she was a member of the Committee for Economics and Technology (transport policy spokeswoman for the Green parliamentary group) and the Cultural Policy Committee. From 1995 to 1997 she was the chairwoman of the Greens in the Committee on Agriculture , Forests and Nature Conservation and from 1997 to 1999 a member of the Committee on State Budget Accounting. She was also a member of the Europe Committee and the Prison Subcommittee from 1995 to 1999 . From 1993 to 1997 Senta Seip was also an honorary alderman in the district committee of the Limburg-Weilburg district .
