action

The dishwasher Celestino comes from southern Italy. His colleagues in the trattoria in the center of Rome always tease him about his dialect. One day Celestino meets the mute Rosina, she takes care of the dirty laundry in the restaurant. Because of you, Celestino is now learning sign language. On the first date he pretends to be mute out of shame for his dialect. Everything goes well until the first kiss occurs. A pickpocket takes advantage of the distraction to acquire Rosina's handbag. Celestino runs after him screaming swear words. When he returns her bag to Rosina, he apologizes for his lie. He leaves sadly, Rosina gathers her courage and calls him back. It turns out that she too comes from the south and pretends to be mute out of shame. But the possibility of verbal communication does not lead to more harmony between the two.
