Sepp Manchechner

Sepp viellechner , civil: Werner viellechner (born January 14, 1935 in Kirchseeon , district of Ebersberg ) is a German singer in the field of folk music . He is married to Brigitte.

Life

Sepp grew up with two brothers in Kirchseeon. After school he learned the trade of carpenter . But soon afterwards he began his studies at the "Birna" opera school and then attended the Trapp Conservatory in Munich. At the end of the 1950s he took part in a yodel competition at the Apollo Theater and took first place. In 1959 he received his first record deal. This marked his career as a popular singer. His tenor voice soon earned him the nickname "Caruso of the Mountains".

In 1972 Sepp Manchechner had his first TV appearance with the Lustige Musikanten on ZDF , which was followed by numerous other appearances. His appearance with his dachshund Bazi, who went down in television history as the "yodelling dachshund", also became famous.

In 1989 , Sepp Manchechner and Maxl Graf applied for the 1989 Grand Prix of Folk Music . Her title Barely look i auf'd Uhr is scho Herbst achieved a remarkable 7th place in the German preliminary decision.

Today, Sepp Vielfaltchner can only be seen occasionally at television events.
