Serdar Dayat (born May 30, 1969 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football coach .

Coaching career

Dayat obtained his license as a soccer teacher at the Hennes-Weisweiler Academy in Cologne.

Dayat had his first coaching position at Kasımpaşa SK , where he worked as an assistant coach in the 2007/08 season . The club finished last in the final table, so they were relegated to the second division.

In the 2009/10 and 2010/11 season he was an assistant coach at Gençlerbirliği Ankara at the side of Fuat Çapa , Thomas Doll and Ralf Zumdick .

Dayat was also assistant coach to Vladimir Petkovic and Mesut Bakkal at Samsunspor in the 2011/12 season . At the end of the season, Samsunspor missed relegation.

For the 2012/13 season Dayat was head coach for the first time. He moved to the first Bulgarian league for the newly promoted FK Etar in 1924 Veliko Tarnowo and should protect the club from relegation. Dayat was with the team but last and could not prevent the move to the second division. Thereupon the coach and club agreed on the end of the contract.

For the 2013/14 season he was presented to the second division Denizlispor as the successor to the dismissed Özcan Bizati . Here, too, he could not achieve any success and was released on September 23, 2013 after the 6th matchday.
