Sergei O. Prokofieff

Sergej O. Prokofieff ( Russian Сергей Олегович Прокофьев , also: Sergei Olegowitsch Prokofjew , Sergej Olegovič Prokof'ev ; born January 16, 1954 in Moscow ; † July 26, 2014 ) was a Russian anthroposophist .

Life

Sergei O. Prokofieff was the son of the artist, sculptor and poet Oleg Sergejewitsch Prokowjew and the dramaturge Sofja Leonidowna and a grandson of the composer Sergei Sergejewitsch Prokofiev . He completed a degree in painting and art history at the Moscow Art School.

Prokofieff wrote his first book, Rudolf Steiner and the Foundation of the New Mysteries , while living in the Soviet Union; the book was first published in Germany in 1982. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Prokofieff and some like-minded people founded the Russian Anthroposophical Society in Moscow in 1991. He appeared as a lecturer and writer and since 2001 has also been a member of the board of the General Anthroposophical Society at the Goetheanum in Dornach . He had to resign from this position on the board at Easter 2013 for health reasons.

Prokofieff's written work consisted primarily in the development of various christological topics on the basis of Rudolf Steiner's research.

In addition to recognition of some of the members of the General Anthroposophical Society for their loyalty to Rudolf Steiner, Sergej O. Prokofieff also encountered resistance to his positions.

Sergej O. Prokofieff's assessment of the literary work of the stigmatized Judith von Halle has met with criticism.
