Sergei Wassiljewitsch Fessikow ( Russian Сергей Васильевич Фесиков , scientific transliteration Sergej Vasil'evič Fesikov ; born January 21, 1989 in Leningrad ) is a Russian swimmer .

Career

Fessikov's international sporting breakthrough came in 2009 when he first won gold over 100 meters freestyle at the 25th Summer Universiade in Belgrade and more in November at the short course World Cup in Berlin when he won a new 100 meter medley with 50.95 seconds Set world record.

His most successful international competitions to date were the European Short Course Championships in Istanbul in 2009 when he was European champion with the Russian 4 × 50 meter medley relay and vice-European champion in the 100 meter medley, as well as the bronze medal in the 50 meter freestyle.
