Serhij Dychtjar ( Ukrainian Сергій Дихтяр ' , scientific transliteration Serhij Dychtjar' , Russian Сергей Дихтяр , Sergei Dichtjar , also Sergej Dikhtjar ; born August 26, 1975 ) is a Ukrainian football player .

Career

The 1.70 m tall striker comes from the youth of Dynamo Kiev . In 1992 he was noticed at a youth football tournament in Wettringen Klaus Fichtel , who was the youth coach of FC Schalke 04 at the time . After a trial training, Schalke signed him. Both in the youth and in the amateur team he had difficulties with the coaches Klaus Fichtel and Klaus Fischer , who accused him of indiscipline. Nevertheless, he was allowed to debut in the first team on the last day of the 1993/94 season . In the 1994/95 season he seemed to make the breakthrough when he was allowed to play in his second Bundesliga appearance on September 3, 1994 in the away game against TSV 1860 Munich and scored the only goal of the day with the 1-0 winner . Olaf Thon praised him after the game: "He reminded me of my old days". A fibula fracture and disciplinary problems prevented his final breakthrough at Schalke.

After only 13 Bundesliga appearances, he was re-amateurized after the 1995/96 season and moved to SG Wattenscheid 09 in what was then the Regionalliga West / Southwest. There he became a regular player and rose with the Wattenscheidern in the 2nd Bundesliga and in the 1998/99 season again.

For the 2000/01 season , Sergej Dikhtjar joined 1. FC Saarbrücken after its promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. There he did not get beyond the role of the supplementary player. After 20 missions for Saarbrücken, he returned during the 2001/02 season for the winter break to the Wattenscheiders, who are now playing in the Regionalliga Nord . In 2003 he moved then to the Oberliga side SV Meppen and a year later to league rivals BV Cloppenburg . After five years and 86 games for BVC, Dikhtjar moved in 2009 to the upper division BSV Rehden , with whom he was promoted to the Regionalliga Nord in 2012.
