Serhij Ihorowytsch Petrasch ( Ukrainian Сергій Ігорович Петраш , English transcription: Sergey Petrash ; born June 8, 1978 in the Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian billiards player from Kiev . Career

Serhiy Petrasch started playing billiards at the age of 20 . He studied radio engineering and law and graduated as a lawyer in 2003 . Since many lawyers were being trained at that time and he therefore assessed his career prospects as low, he decided to concentrate on the sport of billiards and aimed at a professional career.

After making the quarter-finals twice at the Buffalo Cup, Petrasch narrowly missed the final round at both the European Championships and the World Cup in 2009 and finished in 33rd place. At the World Cup, he lost the crucial preliminary round match against Jewhen Palamar after he had won his first World Cup against Uzbek Edward Chen . A little later followed a first round defeat against Sergei Schiljajew at the European Cup final . In 2010 Petrasch achieved the first medal placement at the Buffalo Cup with third place in the first tournament. At the final tournament of the series in December 2010, however, as before in the Ukrainian championship , he was eliminated in the second round.

At the beginning of 2011 there was another round of 16 at the national championship in the combined pyramid . At the first World Cup tournament , Petrasch came in 97th place a little later.
