Serhiy Nahornjak

Serhij Mykolaiowytsch Nahornjak ( Ukrainian Сергій Миколайович Нагорняк ; born September 5, 1971 in Vinnytsia ) is a former Ukrainian football player . The striker and midfielder was a Ukrainian international .

He played from 1992 at Worskla Poltava in the second highest Ukrainian league. In 1993/94 he was with Nywa Vinnytsia and in the first half of 1995 with Spartak Moscow in Russia. In the summer he moved back to Ukraine to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk , where he was under contract until 1998. With the club he was a cup finalist in 1997 . In 1999 he was with Shakhtar Donetsk and then moved to China, where he played for Shenyang Haishi and Shandong Luneng Taishan . Further stations were Arsenal Kiev , Jiangsu Sainty and Wolyn Lutsk . In 2005/06 he played for Metalurh Zaporizhia , with whom he reached the final of the Ukrainian Cup again at the end of his career.

Nahornjak had a total of 14 international appearances between 1994 and 2002. After the World Cup qualifier against Croatia in October 1997, his doping test was positive for bromantane and he was banned for two years.
