Serkan Özsoy (born August 3, 1978 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player in the service of Kahramanmaraşspor .

Career

society

Özsoy began club football in the youth of Paşabahçe Istanbul and moved to the youth of Fenerbahçe Istanbul in 1997 with a professional contract . In 1998 he was accepted into the professional squad and played the first two seasons regularly. From summer 2000 he lost his position within the team and spent the next two seasons more of a reservist existence. So he left Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2002 and went to Trabzonspor . Here he only played one season and moved on to Malatyaspor . For this club he was active for the next two seasons.

He spent the 2005/06 season for half a season each for Manisaspor and Gaziantepspor . In the summer of 2006 he moved to the first division club Diyarbakırspor . At the end of the season they were relegated to the TFF 1st Lig . Özsoy stayed with the club and played two more seasons for this club. In the following years he played for various second and third division clubs.

Özsoy moved to the second division TKİ Tavşanlı Linyitspor in the summer of 2011 . After one and a half seasons he left Linyitspor for third division Kahramanmaraşspor . With this club he was at the end of the 2012/13 season champion of the TFF 2nd Lig and thus achieved direct promotion to the TFF 1st Lig .

National team

Özsoy played for the Turkish national youth teams for the first time, during a U18 encounter against the Italian U18s. In total, he played four times for the U-18 national team in his country.

In addition, he completed a total of eight international matches for the Turkish U-21 national team in 1999 and 2000 .
