Servais Joseph Detilleux (born September 10, 1874 in Stembert , Kingdom of Belgium , † 1940 ) was a Belgian genre and portrait painter and sculptor .

Life

Detilleux painted landscapes, cityscapes, historical compositions, figures and portraits. As a sculptor, he created portraits, figures and allegorical compositions. In 1888 he studied at the Académie royale des Sciences, des Lettres et des Beaux-Arts de Belgique ( German  Royal Academy of Sciences and Fine Arts of Belgium ) in Liège , later at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles ( Royal Academy of the Beautiful Arts ) in Brussels .

• Portrait du violoncelliste Ferdinand Pollain , exhibited at the Salon des artistes français of the Société des Artistes Français in Paris, 1924.
• Portrait de Guillaume Lekeu , 1896. On display today in the Musée de l'Art wallon , Liège.
