ServiceNow was founded in 2004 by Fred Luddy.
In July 2005, USD 2.5 million in funding was raised for the first time. This was followed by an additional $ 11 million over the next two years.
In the fall of 2005, ServiceNow received their first order from WagerWorks, a gaming site .
In 2009, another round of financing followed with USD 41 million. At this point the company was growing steadily, making its first profits and already had clients such as Deutsche Bank , Intel and McDonald's .
In 2011 a purchase offer of USD 2.5 billion was made by VMware . However, after much deliberation, this was rejected.
Today the company has a market value of over 80 billion USD . (As of July 2020)
