The squirrel Knuspel has to flee from the oak park because it is to be cut down because the building contractor Hubert Hämmerlein wants to build a factory there. Knuspel asks wool and horse for help. Allegedly, Hämmerlein wants to build a flower factory, although he hates flowers. Wool, horse and Knuspel want to find out with Finchen and Rieke what he is really up to, but the wolf is in cahoots with Hämmerlein and his secretary Constanze. You intend to produce flowers and other plants artificially, so wool and horse in the Tagesschau -Studio call for a demonstration against the deforestation of the oak park during a news broadcast with Jan Hofer . It actually works: a lot of people, including Ernie and Bert, come and protest on the construction site. In the end, the friends succeed in preventing the deforestation and thus saving the oak park.
