Seu Jorge

Seu Jorge (born June 8, 1970 in Belford Roxo , Brazil; actually Jorge Mário da Silva) is a Brazilian musician and actor.

Life

Seu Jorge comes from the slums, the favelas of Rio de Janeiro . In the mid-1990s he founded the samba group Farofa Carioca and brought out the first album with them. In 1999 his production "Samba Esporte Fino" was named the best Brazilian album of the year. He mainly contributed individual songs to various films, but he also appeared as a composer and actor.
