Severné Považie
The Severné Považie region (Slovak Severopovažský región (cestovného ruchu) ; German about "Region of the Northern Waag Area"), more rarely Horné Považie (literally "Upper Waag Area") is a tourist region in Slovakia .
It extends following the southern course of the river Waag over the districts:
- Bytča
- Považská Bystrica
- Púchov (except for the municipalities of Beluša , Mojtín and Visolaje )
- Žilina
- Kysucké Nové Mesto
- Čadca
The Stredné Považie region, which is also marked by the Waag River, connects to the southwest, and the Kysucké Nové Mesto and Čadca districts also form the unofficial Kysuce region .
