Shōta Fukuoka ( Japanese 福岡 将 太 , Fukuoka Shōta ; born October 24, 1995 in Nishitōkyō , Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Shōta Fukuoka learned to play soccer on the school team at Jissen Gakuen High School . From 2014 to 2016 he was under contract with Shonan Bellmare . In 2014 the club played in the second division, the J2 League . At the end of 2014, the club became champions of the second division and rose to the first division. In 2014 he played twice in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. From 2015 to 2016 he was loaned to third division club Fukushima United FC in Fukushima . In 2017 he signed a contract with Tochigi SC . The club from Utsunomiya played in the third division, the J3 League. At the end of 2017, he was runner-up in J3 with Tochigi and was promoted to the second division. In 2019, the league competitor Tokushima Vortis from Tokushima signed him.
