Shadoe Stevens (born November 3, 1947 in Jamestown , North Dakota ), actually Terry Ingstad , is an American announcer , radio host and actor .

Life

Stevens became a radio DJ in his hometown Jamestown station KQDJ in 1957, which was run by his father and his brother. This made him the youngest DJ in the United States, which led to national coverage in Life Magazine . Even during his school days he was still employed by the station. After graduating from the University of Arizona , he moved to WRKO in Boston and the following year to KHJ in Southern California , where he was the announcer on the Steve Allen Show . He then became program director at KMET and KRQQ-FM in Los Angeles . Between 1988 and 1995 he presented the American Top 40 as the successor to Casey Kasem .

From 1978 he also worked as an actor, but his first role in The Kentucky Fried Movie was initially a pure language role . In 1988 he had the lead role in the action film Traxx . Between 1993 and 1997 he played the character of Kenny Beckett in 91 episodes in the sitcom Always Trouble with Dave . He subsequently had guest roles on various television series such as Baywatch and Beverly Hills, 90210 . As a television announcer, he worked for the game show Hollywood Squares from 1986 to 1989 and from 1998 to 2003 and since December 2005 for the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson .

Stevens is third married and has three children. His third marriage daughter, Amber Stevens , works as an actress.
