Shake it all about ( En kort en lang ) is a Danish comedy film by Hella Joof from 2001 with Mads Mikkelsen in the leading role.
action
Jacob is a young man who is used to always getting everything he wants. He has had a happy relationship with Jørgen for a number of years and at his birthday party Jørgen asks him if he would like to marry him. Jacob accepts, but Jacob kisses Caroline, his future sister-in-law, during the party. What at first seems like a drunkenness slip turns into serious business. Because even Caroline, whose husband Tom works as a line pilot and is almost never at home, feels drawn to Jacob and so the two start an affair.
Jacob is torn between Jørgen and Caroline and can't decide who to live with permanently. The affair is exposed when Caroline becomes pregnant by Jacob. Jacob's mother, in particular, is happy about this fact, as she had already given up all hopes for grandchildren and a "normal" relationship between her son and a woman.
So the gay wedding is canceled and the wedding of Jacob and Caroline is planned. But Jacob is still not sure whether he will be happy with Caroline alone and tries to talk to Jørgen and to reconcile. But this fails when Jacob encounters a half-naked young man in Jørgen's apartment.
Only when Jacob and Caroline stand in front of the altar do they both realize that they are making a big mistake and that they would rather be with their previous partners. So Jacob storms out of the church and makes his way to the airport on horseback to prevent Jørgen from flying away. But when he arrives at the airport, Jørgen is already on the plane and he is no longer allowed in. In his desperation he speaks to the pilot on the phone and convinces him to abort the flight. Jacob and Jørgen make up and while they ride back to town on horseback, Tom leaves the cockpit of the plane with a smile and returns to Caroline.
criticism
"Relationship comedy about the twists and turns of (love) life, which, after a somewhat chaotic beginning, finds itself in calmer waters and, despite some thick clichés, entertains amusingly thoughtful actors through playful actors."
