Share Now is a car sharing provider from BMW and Daimler . It is one of a total of five mobility service companies that emerged from a joint venture between these companies founded in 2019.
Share Now offers free floating car sharing with around 12,000 vehicles in 16 urban areas in eight countries . This means that vehicles on offer can be rented on a minute-by-minute basis via smartphone and returned after use within the business area.
history
Share Now was created in 2019 from the previously competing car sharing providers car2go and DriveNow . The number of operating locations was reduced from 31 to 17 within one year after the merger in January 2019. Among other things, all non-European locations were discontinued.
Vehicle fleet
The vehicle fleet consists of vehicles from the brands BMW , Mercedes-Benz , Mini and Smart . This includes around 3,300 battery-electric vehicles, which corresponds to around a quarter. Only electric vehicles are used in the cities of Amsterdam , Madrid , Paris and Stuttgart .
The minute price varies depending on the vehicle model, location, rental period and time of day. Some models also add some kind of additional insurance fee per rental.
