Shaul Bustan

Shaul Bustan ( Hebrew שאול בוסתן; * 1983 in Be'er Scheva ) is an Israeli composer and conductor .

Life

Bustan grew up as the son of a Persian mother and an Eastern European father. He studied composition at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance among others Haim Permont and Aharon Harlap he graduated in 2009 with the Master from. Bustan has worked as a composer, conductor and musician with artists, ensembles and orchestras in Israel, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the USA, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra , the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, Koninklijke Harmoniekapel Delft, the Tyrolean Ensemble for new music and the Klezmer maestro Giora Feidman . He composed over 300 pieces of music. One focus is on compositions for the short-necked lute oud . Bustan lives in Berlin , where he leads various theater projects and choirs and performs with his trio all over Germany.
