Shehzad Roy (born February 17, 1979 in Karachi ) ( Urdu روئے شہزاد) is a Pakistani singer, philanthropist and humanist . He began his singing career in 1995 and has recorded six albums since then. One of his best known and most successful albums is Apney Haath Mein , which he released in 2008. Roy is the founder of the aid organization Zindagi Trust, which works to improve education in Pakistan. Roy is also the holder of the Sitara-i-Imtiaz .

Career

Beginnings

Roy released his first album Zindagi in 1995. He released his second album Darshan in 1997. The third album Teri soorat was released in 1999. Roy released other albums in 2002 and 2005.

Qismat Apne Haath Mein (2008)

His sixth album meant that he addressed social problems in his songs and for this reason Roy drew attention to the situation of prisoners in Karachi through the album in 2008. The first music video of the song Lage Rage was about the political situation in 2008. Roy’s songs have also been used in Indian films.

Collaborations

Roy and Ayesha Omar published the song Dhol Sipaye, which was dedicated to all the martyrs of the army who died in the war on terror . Shehzad Roy gave a concert with Guns n 'Roses , the proceeds of which went to his aid organization.

PSL Brand Ambassador

Shehzad Roy sang the theme song Baley Baley for the Pakistan Super League in the 2017 season . For the 2018 season, Roy released the song Lo Phir Say Miley

philanthropy

Roy's charity has launched a program to get children out of child labor . The two-year program allows children who normally work in auto repair shops to attend school. The program also supports children with very good academic performance and supports them in further schooling.

Public School Reform

Shehzad Roy realized that the Paid to Learn initiative was not enough, as most students go to public schools that are inadequately equipped, so she started another program to improve public school facilities. This also included the introduction of new school subjects and the reform of teaching.
