Shelly Johnson

Shelly A. Johnson (born May 4, 1958 in Pasadena , California ) is an American cinematographer .

Life

Johnson began working as a cameraman in the late 1980s. The film Traumfrau vom Dienst , made in 1987, was the first in which he was involved as an independent cameraman. During the transition into the 1990s, he worked extensively for television. Even during the decade, he worked mostly for television. Large cinema productions then dominated in the 2000s. Directors Shelly Johnson has worked with frequently are Bobby Roth and Joe Johnston . For Johnston he filmed Jurassic Park III , Hidalgo - 3000 Miles to Fame and Captain America: The First Avenger, among others .

During his career, Johnson has been nominated three times by the American Society of Cinematographers for the ASC Award.
