Sherko Kareem Lateef Gubari (born May 25, 1996 in Kirkuk ) is an Iraqi football player .

Career

society

Sherko Gubari signed his first professional contract with Al-Shorta SC on December 30, 2011. The following year, at the age of 15, he made his first-team debut. He scored his first goal for Al-Shorta SC on June 24, 2012 in a 3-0 win over Al-Minaa. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season he was loaned to Zakho FC . The following season, returning from loan, he won his first title with Al-Shorta SC. At the end of the season, the club was two points ahead of first position in the Iraqi Premier League , ahead of Erbil SC . A season later, the club defended the title, again in front of Erbil SC.

In March 2015, the Grasshopper Club Zurich announced the commitment of Gubari, where he signed a three-year contract until June 2018. He made his debut in a 5-3 win against FC Thun in the 2015/16 season . In July 2017 he signed a one-season loan contract with FC Vaduz , which plays in the Swiss Challenge League .

In July 2018 he moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club SCR Altach , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2019. After the 2018/19 season he left Altach and returned to Al-Shorta.

National team

Gubari played for various Iraqi youth national selections. With the U-17 selection , he took part in the 2013 World Cup, where he and his team were eliminated from Group F in the preliminary round.

In 2016 he took part in the Olympic selection at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . With Iraq he was eliminated as third in Group A in the group stage. Gubari was used in all three games in his country.
