Shin Baek-cheol (born October 19, 1989 in Gimpo ) is a badminton player from South Korea .
Career
Shin Baek-cheol replaced Lee Yong-dee's partner Jung Jae-sung in the men's doubles in February . Their first major success was winning the German Open , defeating Kenichi Hayakawa and Kenta Kazuno in the final.
Shin Baek-cheol also starts in mixed. In 2010 he did that with Yoo Hyun-young . At the Swiss Open Super Series 2010 they reached the final, but lost there against the number 2 seeded Lee Yong-dae and Lee Hyo-jung with 14:21 and 18:21. The year before, Shin Baek-cheol was in the semi-finals of the Swiss Open Super Series 2009 and the All England Super Series 2009 and in the quarter-finals of the Korea Open Super Series 2009 .
In 2014 Shin Baek-cheol and his doubles partner Ko Sung-hyun became world champions in men's doubles at the 2014 Badminton World Cup in Copenhagen.
