Shinkō Shōji KK ( Japanese 神 鋼 商 事 株式会社 , Shinkō Shōji Kabushiki-gaisha , English Shinsho Corporation ) is a Japanese trading company based in Osaka and Tokyo .

Company profile

The company was founded in 1946 and is a subsidiary of the Japanese steel and machine manufacturer Kobelco , based in neighboring Kobe . As part of Mitsubishi's cross-industry financial group , it is also one of the country's largest foreign trade players. Its main business areas include the import and export of capital goods from the mining industry .

In Japan, in addition to the two main branches in Osaka and Tokyo, the company has twelve branches as well as five of its own foreign branches worldwide, each in Beijing , Dubai , Rangoon , Sydney and Brisbane . In addition, there are currently 37 subsidiaries, most of which are operated abroad. Since 2009, the company has been represented within the European Union by its direct subsidiary Shinsho Europe GmbH , based in Düsseldorf .
