Show TV is a Turkish television broadcaster based in Istanbul .
history
1991 to 2002
Show TV was founded on March 1, 1991 by Erol Aksoy and Haldun Simavi. The broadcast started Show TV together with Show Radyo with the motto Başka Bir Alem! ( German "Another world!"). Initially, the station only sent news, the first time on October 9, 1992, the moderator was Gülgün Feyman. Until 1999, the managing director of Show TV was Erol Aksoy. Since 1999 the managing director has been Mehmet Emin Karamehmet.
After it was founded, Show TV became well known with the TOP 10 program , which featured the ten best music videos. At night, Show TV broadcast the Italian erotic game show Tutti Frutti , which was immediately indexed by the Turkish broadcaster RTÜK .
After the indexing, teletext was broadcast at night and American series and entertainment programs such as Dallas , The Simpsons , Friends , Kampfstern Galactica , Roseanne , Seinfeld and Shadow of Passion were broadcast.
2002 to 2013
On August 19, 2002 Show TV released a new logo with rainbow colors in the shape of a flower and started with the motto Esas Show bu Show! ("The real show is this show!").
From 2003 to 2005 Show TV had its highest market share with the series Kurtlar Vadisi (Eng. "Valley of the Wolves"). However, the fourth and final season was broadcast on Kanal D. Since 2007 the series has been continued with Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu , which is currently broadcast on atv .
Other successful series were Tatlı Hayat (“Beautiful Life”), Hayat Bilgisi (“Knowledge of Life”), Cennet Mahallesi (“Paradise Quarter”) and Dadı (“The Nanny”), of which, however, no new seasons are broadcast. Up to the 2011/2012 TV season, Show TV broadcast the successful formats Yetenek Sizsiniz (Turkish version of Das Supertalent ), O Ses Türkiye (Turkish version of The Voice of Germany ), Survivor Türkiye and Yok böyle Dans (Turkish version of Let's Dance ) . The moderator and producer was Acun Ilıcalı . This entertainment and casting show has been broadcast on the Turkish channel Star TV since the 2012/2013 season and Acun Ilıcalı also moderates and produces here.
Show TV also shows many Turkish series, such as B. Pis Yedili, Suskunlar, Eve Düsen Yıldırım and Ustura Kemal. The Adını Feriha Koydum series has particularly high ratings .
