Sibyl Quinke

Sibyl Quinke (* 1952 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German crime and non-fiction author .

Career

Quinke has a doctorate in pharmacy . As a freelancer, she writes for the Bergische Blätter . At first she wrote fairy tales, poems and short stories, until she switched to crime novels, which she herself describes as “family novels with a corpse”. For her crime stories she also draws on her pharmaceutical expertise. The local color of her adopted home Wuppertal also plays a very important role in these books. The majority of the titles are published in the edition oberkassel .

In 2016 she organized the crime day in Düsseldorf. She works with the literary magazine Karussell and is a member of the Murderous Sisters Association and the Syndicate .
