Sibylle Einholz

Sibylle Einholz (born August 8, 1948 in Lübeck ) is a German art historian and until October 2013 was a professor at the Berlin University of Technology and Economics (HTW) in the department of design, museum studies and museum management and communication.

biography

After graduating from high school in 1969, Sibylle Einholz first studied pharmacy , then art history and ethnology at the Free University of Berlin , where she received her doctorate in 1984 with a dissertation on the sculptor Peter Breuer . From 1995 to 2013 she was a professor at the Berlin University of Technology and Economics.

From 1991 to 2003 she was editor of the Bear of Berlin with Jürgen Wetzel , the director of the Berlin State Archives . Yearbook of the Association for the History of Berlin . In 2003, Einholz initiated a long-term research project on the subject of Berlin photography studios in the 19th century in cooperation with the Association for the History of Berlin (VfdGB). Einholz has also been a member of the board of directors of the VfdGB for many years, as an assessor in the current 2015–2017 electoral term. For the 150th anniversary of the history association in 2015, she organized the association exhibition in the Märkisches Museum .

Sibylle Einholz was married to the Berlin psychologist Konrad W. Sprai (1924–2012).
