A second safety parking lot has been completed at the truck stop in Wörnitz BAB 7 (Germany). Others are being built in Ashford (Great Britain) and Liège (Belgium).

For a 24-hour break, the Uhrsleben truck stop charges € 25 and for short-term parkers € 3.50 per hour. Some insurance companies offer premium discounts if the secure parking lot is used and the risk of high losses is avoided. The truck drivers can of course use all services from the truck stop, because the driver receives a parking card with which he can open the door to the secure parking lot.

The following companies are also involved: Consulting company - Faber Maunsell , Shell , Daimler , ADAC , Axa , Teleroute , Tank & Rast and the Association of German Truck Stops .

Security parking spaces are also to be built at three border crossings between the EU and Russia, for which the EU is providing an extra 3.5 million euros. EU Transport Commissioner Antonio Tajani said that the working conditions and safety of the truck drivers with their trucks at the Russian border should be improved.
