Sideritis spinulosa is a vegetable art from the genus sideritis ( Sideritis ) in the family of Labiatae (Lamiaceae).

description

Sideritis spinulosa is a perennial plant that grows to a height of 10 to 30 cm and is hairy with balding to tomentose. The leaves are 10 to 20 mm long and 7 to 8 mm wide. They are linear or lanceolate and have two to six protruding spines on the edge .

The inflorescences are false whorls, which are usually in groups of five to twelve and consist of about six flowers . The lower bracts are 7 to 15 mm long and 12 to 20 mm wide and protrude beyond the calyx . They are broadly egg-shaped or heart-shaped-egg-shaped and roughly slit-toothed and prickly. The cup is 8 to 9 mm long and has a ring of trichomes on the inside. The crown is 8 to 9 mm long and is pale yellow in color.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 26.

Occurrence

The species occurs in north-central and northeastern Spain .
