The Sieben-Brunnen is a source in the Langental near Diemerstein in the Kaiserslautern district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It emerges as a fissure source in the middle red sandstone of the Palatinate Forest biosphere reserve .
description
This geological formation is characterized partly by many crevices and columns that passes through the rain water quickly in the depth. On the other hand, the rock itself also absorbs large amounts of water in its pores. In many places the groundwater re-emerges in springs on thin, silty and clay-rich rock layers that retain the groundwater, as well as on crevices and faults. The Sieben-Brunnen was first taken in 1927 and prepared as a resting place. It has been protected as a natural monument since 1967. After renovations in 1953 and 1974, the entire complex was completely renovated in 1998 by the Palatinate Forest Association -Main Association with the support of an insurance company and the Hochspeyer Forestry Office , whereby the focus was on the ecological value of the spring.
The water of the Sieben-Well flows into the Glasbach after a few hundred meters .
