Siegfried Eberdorfer

Siegfried Eberdorfer (born November 9, 1927 in Sankt Lorenzen bei Scheifling , Styria , † August 19, 1977 in Hall bei Admont , Styria) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After the two-class elementary school in St. Lorenzen, Siegfried Eberdorfer attended the Agricultural College Grottenhof-Hardt in Thal . He then passed an external exam at a secondary school and enrolled at the Francisco Josephinum Agricultural College in Wieselburg . Eberdorfer graduated from this school in 1950 . In 1955 he received his doctorate from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna .

As early as 1954 Eberdorfer found work as a works advisor at the Chamber of Commerce for the Liezen district . In 1960 he joined the state service and took over as director of the Grabnerhof agricultural college in Hall near Admont. At the same time, Eberdorfer not only ran a small farm himself, but also a small inn .

His political career also began in 1954 when he became a member of the ÖVP. Just two years later, in 1956, he became a member of the district party leadership of the ÖVP for the Liezen district and again a year later, in 1957, became the district chairman.

In April 1968 Eberdorfer became a member of the Federal Council in Vienna. However, he was only a member of this group for two years, until May 1970. This was followed by his swearing-in as a member of the ÖVP to the Styrian state parliament . Eberdorfer was a member of the state parliament from 1970 until his death in August 1977.
