Siegfried Pilz (cyclist)
Siegfried Pilz (born April 16, 1925 in Leutersdorf ; † October 3, 2011 in Ahnatal ) was a German artistic cyclist . In two artificial cycling, he and his partner Johannes Heinitz achieved :
Career
- 1940 3rd place at the German Youth Championships in Erfurt ,
- 1941 2nd place at the German Youth Championships in Stuttgart as well
- 1942 1st place at the German Youth Championships in Frankfurt am Main .
After the Second World War he moved to Kassel . There he played a key role in building up the RSC Weimar-Ahnatal cycling club . Here his son achieved further great successes.
He invented the exercise device for learning how to climb, also known as the “mushroom” , and applied for a patent for it.
