Siegritz is a district of Reurieth in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

Both Reurieth and Siegritz are on the district road 511, which leads to the federal road 89 in Siegritz . Both places are located on the upper reaches of the Werra in the southern foreland to the Thuringian Forest and still have an influence from the Franconian climate . The shared basin is a natural space.

history

In 1177 the place was first mentioned in a document in the Henneberg Document Book I 21. In terms of lordship, the place in the Themar office initially belonged to the county of Henneberg , after 1583 to various Saxon duchies and from 1826 to 1918 to Saxony-Meiningen . In 1920 he came to the state of Thuringia .
