The Siempelkamp Group is an international technology group with headquarters in Krefeld . Founded in 1883, it now bundles 25 companies, 7 sales companies and international production sites in Italy, the Czech Republic and China. G. Siempelkamp GmbH & Co. KG is the management company of the group, consisting of the areas of mechanical engineering and plant engineering , casting technology and service.

Siempelkamp Group - core competence

Large-scale plant construction is the core competence of the Siempelkamp Group. It supplies presses and complete production units for the wood products industry , metal industry , rubber industry and composite industry. Engineering, research and development, dryers and energy systems, handling systems and automation systems , shredding technology, switchgear , industrial electronics and fan construction are also part of the delivery spectrum.

Siempelkamp Giesserei contributes services to the group at the Krefeld location. It produces large cast parts and heavy cast parts made of cast iron with nodular graphite. Unit weights of up to 320 t are realized here.

Siempelkamp Nukleartechnik GmbH is involved in the construction of the EPR nuclear power plants as well as the disposal of radioactive waste .

Siempelkamp also contributes services within the framework of the energy transition, e. B. for the dismantling of nuclear power plants .

Markets

One of Siempelkamp's areas of service are press concepts in the wood-based materials industry. With a market share of around 60 percent in wood-based material plants, Siempelkamp is the world market leader, with the Büttner Gesellschaft für Trocknungs- und Umwelttechnik also in the drying of chips, strands and fibers.

Siempelkamp presses are also used in the metal , rubber and composites industries . The aviation and automotive industries in particular are asking for Siempelkamp concepts. Siempelkamp supplies complete production units for this requirement. There are also systems for pressing rice straw or bamboo.

The Siempelkamp Giesserei produces cast parts for the areas of energy conversion, raw material processing, press construction and general mechanical engineering. The company manufactures z. B. structural parts for onshore and offshore wind turbines , turbine housings, mill floors and grinding tables for raw material extraction, engine blocks for marine diesel engines or components for plastic injection molding machines.

Siempelkamp operates international locations in Italy / Colzate , the Czech Republic / Blatnice and China / Wuxi .

Continuous press ContiRoll®

Siempelkamp's continuous press ContiRoll® is the core element of a forming and press line. The ContiRoll® Generation 9 and ContiRoll® Generation 9 NEO have been available since 2017. New developments were z. B. the press infeed, drive technology , measurement technology , simulation technology and process control technology as well as mat preheating and finishing.

In the 2017 financial year, the Siempelkamp Group recorded an order intake of € 721.4 million (2016: € 624.3 million). Sales amounted to € 717 million. As of December 31, 2017, the group employed 2,919 people. In addition, a total of 66 trainees completed industrial, technical, cooperative or commercial training at Siempelkamp.
