Sierra Maestra is a Cuban band formed in 1976 dedicated to reviving the classic son of the 1920s. The band was named after the Sierra Maestra mountain range in eastern Cuba, from which the Son originally came and is still active.

Well-known members of the band were Juan de Marcos González (before he switched to Afro-Cuban All Stars and Buena Vista Social Club ) and Jesús Alemañy , the ¡ Cubanismo ! founded.

The band starred in the 2000 film Salsa y Amor .
